More than twelve thousand people have pledged to use less paper!

The Shrink project has achieved our target of ten thousand paper-saving pledges. This is thanks to our fantastic network of organisations, who are putting their own campaigns into action around the world and encouraging their members to make commitments to reduce paper use. WWF recently carried out a 'panda action' and their appeal has really snow-balled, gaining more than 9,000 pledges in the past month. Thanks Pandas!

This means that our pledge total now stands at more than 12,000 people. The pledges on our website alone will dramatically reduce the environmental footprint of the pledgers, saving more than 2000 trees, almost half-a-million tonnes of climate change emissions, more than 7 million litres of water and 93 tonnes of air, water and solid pollution.

All these pledges send a strong signal to the companies we are talking to, showing that there is real understanding of the need to reduce wasteful consumption. We continue to build up our library of case studies of businesses that are making paper reductions and encourage others to get in touch with us and make a pledge. If you haven't made yours yet - make the pledge now!
